Dr. Rajesh Malik is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with more than 20 years of experience specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He has performed over 7,000 cardiac ablations and more than 4000 cardiac device implantations. His expertise includes complex catheter ablation, leadless and traditional pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronizations therapy (CRT), EV-ICDs, subcutaneous ICDs, and left atrial appendage closure with WATCHMAN and AMULET devices. Dr. Malik has contributed to landmark clinical trials in cardiac resynchronization therapy and heart failure. He also serves in electrophysiology fellowship leadership affiliated with the University of South Florida. Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
An irregular, often rapid heart rhythm that can lead to blood clots and increase stroke risk.
Atrial Flutter
A type of abnormal heart rhythm similar to atrial fibrillation but with a more organized pattern.
Palpatations
Sensations of uncomfortable racing, fluttering, or pounding heartbeat.
Bradycardia

A condition where the electrical signals controlling your heartbeat are delayed or blocked causing slow or skipped heart beats.
Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVCs)
Extra, abnormal heartbeats that begin in the ventricles. They often feel like a skipped beat or a strong thump.
Syncope / Fainting
Temporary loss of consciousness often related to heart rhythm or blood pressure issues.
Sick Sinus Syndrome
A group of heart rhythm disorders where the heart's natural pacemaker (the sinus node) doesn't function properly.
